the Carolina Beach Music Awards, the 1964 Tribute, Josh Turner, and Coasters, Drifters, Platters. These

2. The Carolina Opry Theater

show combines singing, comedy, and dancing. It also hosts the Time Warp show that features songs from

way back in the 60s, the 70s, and the 80s.

Don’t also forget to catch the Carolina Opry Christmas special. It’s a south themed Christmas show that

will bring the magic of the holidays in the air to life. The show comes with modern Christmas songs,

beautiful costumes, dancing, comedy, and incredible storytelling.

The theater is also home to the renowned Myrtle Beach Performing Arts Series. The series brings in

This venue is conveniently located off Highway 501 in the old Waccamaw Pottery Mall. There are two

fun shows to look forward too when you are there. The Late Night Web Show is the first and it actually

allows guests to be part of a real-life talk show. It may sound a little out of the box but it’s also very fun

for those who participate. The show takes place every Tuesday and Friday.

The second show to also keep in mind is the Hypno Jimbo Comedy hypnosis show. It takes place three

times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. As the name suggests, the event will hypnotize

guests and they will also get involved in other gut-busting hijinks. The show is made for adults but it can

be fun for the entire family.

4. GTS Theatre

The GTS Theatre is a famous cabaret-style stage and it’s no surprise it has been a big favorite for both

locals and visitors to the town. The theater is not that old. In fact, it opened just a few years ago along the

Highway 17 Bypass just near the Market Common. The shows on the menu are also quite outstanding.

You can enjoy the Motor City Musical – A Motown Tribute Show, Men of Motor City, Christmas in

Dixie – Redneck Style, Michael Barefoot – Magic & Comedy Show among others. The GTS Theatre is

more of a hidden gem and if you’re looking for a quiet place where you can hide away as you enjoy the
